PDF is the standard and hard to beat by anything. Only downside is the only good editing programs there are come from Adobe. But maybe that isn't so much of a problem. ;)

More interestingly is the question if Blizz allows their artwork to be used for a free fan magazine?

Well, you could create it in any program... collect it in lets say "Word" or "Publisher" and print it to a virtual printer that exports a PDF.

Yes, PDF is a good format (There exist also PDF printer which can convert any document / picture into PDF).

Artwork is fine, there will be no problems with Blizzard.

Hardest part may be the actual deadline. As a former publisher I know what I am talking about.

But since this is a fun fan magazine this won't be so much of a problem, I guess.

Distribution method? Bittorrent (good free commercial for the server)? Or only over the servers mainpage for download (linked of course)?

Distribution methods:

First: Webspace of providers (unlimited/FUP)
Second: Bittorrent / Usenet
Last: Rapidshare / Megaupload etc.

The deadline is quite a problem, i know..
There should be a though team.

One of the team would be "The guy that puts it all together".
In what rate should we do this?
Once per week? (impossible)
Once per 2 weeks? (Plausible)
Once per month? (Possible)

Getting enough content for like 2 dozen pages would be too much work with less time. And at this rate it will still remain fun and not work

Deadline is only troublesome 'cause you need to ask everyone with their stuff still missing when they will deliver it on and on. Good thing there is email ;)

Hmmm... I pride myself of writing some nice fiction works once in a blue moon. I wrote a nice short story as a goodbye to one player, Archon, who left the server quite awhile ago. Perhaps Crogge and the older members remember it. If you want I can re-post it here since I believe the old forums are unavailable now.
